When your client accepts a quote

  1. Your client opens the link in the quote email.
  2. They review the quote. To accept, they type or draw a signature and check I accept this quote. If the quote has terms, the box says I accept this quote and its terms. Then they click Accept quote. If the quote has a deposit they can pay online, the button says Accept & pay deposit.
  3. They can instead click Request changes or Decline. A decline needs a note.
  4. On your side, the quote status becomes Accepted. You also get a response email. The quote page lists who accepted it, the deposit status, and a link to the Balance invoice when that draft exists.
  5. While the Balance invoice is still a draft, the Quotes list says Balance invoice ready to send. After you send it, the list says Balance invoice sent.
  6. Home activity can say the deposit was paid and the balance invoice is ready to review and send. Open that draft, review it, and send it. See how to create and send an invoice.

On the client's accepted page, an unpaid deposit stays at the top. The accepted line, Accepted by their name and the date, shows once at the bottom. A fully paid deposit moves into that bottom section, with Download signed copy.

What your client sees

After they accept, the quote page keeps the document and adds the accepted line at the bottom. If a deposit is still due, that notice stays above the quote, with Pay deposit when they can pay online. They can download a signed copy from the bottom of the page.

Common questions

Open the quote. The status is Accepted. The response summary is on that page. The Quotes list shows Balance invoice ready to send when the draft is waiting.

If the deposit is paid and the draft was deleted, open Actions and click Create balance invoice. That makes a new draft. It does not email your client until you send it.

The quote status becomes Changes requested. Revise the quote, then send it again. See how to create and send a quote.
