Invoice2go Alternative: Unlimited Invoicing, No Monthly Fee

Invoice2go is a capable mobile invoicing app, and it works well if your volume is low. The catch is the invoice limits. Their entry plan allows just two invoices per month, and even the mid-tier Professional plan caps you at five. For unlimited invoices you would need to be on their Premium plan, at a cost of roughly $450 per year. Track and Invoice has no invoice limits on any plan, including the free one.

Who should choose Track and Invoice

Anyone who invoices more than a handful of clients a month and doesn't want to pay just to unlock the ability to do that. Track and Invoice also works well if you track hours alongside your invoicing, since time entries connect directly to invoices so you're not manually transferring numbers from one place to another. If you bill for a mix of services and goods, both can go on the same invoice. No monthly fee, no invoice limits, and no credit card required to get started.

Who should choose Invoice2go

Invoice2go has a genuinely good mobile app, and if you primarily run your business from your phone and only send one or two invoices a month, their entry plan is inexpensive. It also connects to QuickBooks, Xero, and FreshBooks, which is useful if you need invoicing data to flow into accounting software you're already using.

Why Track and Invoice is different

The invoice limit is the thing that catches most people off guard with Invoice2go. You sign up, get the app working, and then hit the cap. Upgrading to remove the limit bumps you to a higher tier before you've gotten any additional functionality. You're just paying to be unrestricted on something that probably should have been unlimited from the start.

Track and Invoice doesn't work that way. The free Starter plan includes unlimited clients, unlimited invoices, unlimited time and expense entries, automatic payment reminders, and recurring invoices. You upgrade when you want features like branded invoices, not because you've outgrown an artificial cap.

Built for the way you work

Running a small business means you feel every dollar, every subscription, every "upgrade to unlock this" moment, every tool that costs more than it should for what it actually does. We felt all of it. Before building Track and Invoice, we were evaluating the same software you're looking at right now, and kept running into the same problem: either the price was hard to justify, or the product was too generic to actually fit the way we worked.

So we built our own. Not to disrupt anything, just to have something functional, honest, and priced like it was made for people who watch what they spend. It turned out other small business owners, freelancers, and solopreneurs were looking for the same thing, so we made it available to them too.

Track and Invoice is straightforward by design. It does time tracking, expense tracking, and invoicing well, without burying those features behind a learning curve or a paywall. If that's what you need, we think you'll feel right at home.
